After playing the elemental Breath of the Wild, I wondered if I should buy a DLC or not. When I bought it, there were a lot of people at the fence.
Discussions are still going on as to whether the CSD is worth 20 dollars in terms of content. Some people enjoy dozens of hours of an extra game, while others fly through history in a few hours.
Here I will look at all the DLC content offers you (without spoilers) and let you decide if you want to play it.
Looks like: Number of people experiencing difficulties
Unfortunately, you cannot buy a separate CSD. If you choose a $20 expansion card, you will receive both CSDs and three bonus boxes. However, these gifts are not something unusual.
The first one is the Nintendo Switch Shirt. Not only does it look misplaced, but it only has protection, it can’t be improved, and it can’t be painted.
You’ll probably try it once and never wear it again. It has no practical application in the game and doesn’t even look so relaxed from the start.
The other two chests contain at least some useful items, although they are not difficult to obtain in the game. In one of the crates, there’s a ruby; in the other five, there are bomb arrows.
When purchasing the Expansion Pass, do not count on additional special items in addition to the 2 CSD packages. These items are a nice little bonus, but they don’t change anything in the game.
Master craftsmen’s degrees
This is the first DLC you can play, and it adds things that some players think are worth getting an expansion card for. I don’t prefer one DLC over another because they both add cool stuff.
The sword test is the main attraction of this CSD. Do you remember the island of Eventide? Well, these tests are a much more complicated version.
The tests consist of 3 different levels, each more complex than the previous one. The first has 12 levels, the second 16, and the third 23.
When you start the process, all your armor and weapons will be taken from you until you finish or die. You must clear the map to find weapons and strategically eliminate the enemies to reach the next floor.
If you die during one of the levels, you will return to the current process’s first level. Afterward, you have the opportunity to play again, but you don’t have to.
A real reward for passing those tests? A master sword is continuously being improved! Each check increases the damage by 10 points. The third test puts the saber in the light position forever and significantly increases its handling.
Some people like exams, while others find them exhausting. Whatever your opinion, a modernized master sword is a great reward that you should strive for.
Many BOTW players think it should have been in the base game and not in the DLC. Master mode is regular wild breathing, but with difficulty, it increases considerably.
If you think the end of BOTW is too easy, you should try this mode. You can have both regular games and master mode.
First, any enemy can make him healthy again. I can only imagine how many nightmares it causes.
Every enemy is now upgraded. For example, blue mobiles are now black mobiles. If you thought the money’s enemies were challenging, fortunately, there’s an even harder one now: Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold! Gold!
At the top of the golden genre, enemies can now spawn and crates on floating platforms held by octopuses. These enemies are pretty cool and offer a good variety of the types of enemies that are missing.
The Heroes’ Way
This is a mode that allows you to see all the places you have already passed on the map. You can adjust your speed both quickly and slowly. At a slower pace, it shows where you were dying.
This is ideal for researchers who are looking for new areas where they have never been before. It’s also great fun to experience your journey from the start. This system records up to 200 hours of play, so most players don’t have to worry about losing their start.
The medallion is probably one of the most useful items in the whole game. This way, you can place the quick move point anywhere on the map.
Do you like Hyrule Farm Castle? Place the medallion there and travel quickly after each bloody moon. You have to be somewhere, but you don’t want to lose your place on the map? So you can teleport yourself back to where you put it.
You can only have one system at a time. If you try to place another one, the game will delete the previous one you have set.
It’s overwhelming to learn this article, and it’s a lot of fun to use.
This armor is quite cool and is spread all over the map in different crates. They have to go to the stables to get directions to their whereabouts.
The Korok Mask is probably one of the best armor items in the DLC because it allows the player to find Korok seeds much more comfortable. Here’s a list of the new armor:
- Crown mask
- Commander’s Mask
- Midna helmet
- Ghost armor
- Squeezing the armor
This DLC is more scripted and adds some beneficial elements that make the game even more exciting. You can access it after completing all the divine animals.
Single impact binding
The Liberator’s weapon is probably one of my favorite parts of the DLC. As soon as you lift it, your health immediately drops to a quarter of your heart. Every blow you get from the enemy will put you out of action immediately.
Your mission with these weapons is to go to the Great Plains and defeat the enemy camps. With every base you win, you get a new sanctuary to finish.
This part also looks like Eventide Island and is one of the most excellent features of CSD. Enjoy it while it lasts, because it is short and cannot be played.
After completing the Oblate missions’ sanctuaries, your task is to find four new covers for each of the champions. The shelters are unique and are among the most entertaining in the whole game.
Sanctuaries generally incorporate all the mechanisms of the ancient monasteries and transform them into absolutely unique ideas. There were a few I hated, but I liked most of them.
Once you’ve finished building these shrines, you’ll face a series of fun boss battles. Some are better than others, but they bring extra excitement into the game.
Some of the patterns are unique, but you’ve seen a handful of them. The way you take control of the bosses is also impressive, but still accessible if you are in good health.
Old bridge and saddle
The advantage of these elements is that you can get them once they come from the Grand Plateau. They make the exploration and riding with the horse enormously easier.
The old bridge gives each horse you exchange two extra tracks. The old saddle is more interesting than saddle two because it allows you to teleport your horse from anywhere.
You can also equip them for as many horses as you have, so you don’t have to worry about losing them.
The bookings you get in this CSD are also very cool. Just like the first DLC, we need to find a safe deposit box for each armor. It’s fun to look for them, and it gives you an excuse to explore areas you’ve never visited before.
- Island lobster shirt
- dumpling hat
- Zant’s helmet
- Ganon’s phantom armor
- Royal Guard
Main zero cycle
The Master Cycle is an extraordinary addition to the Zelda franchise, but it’s fun. Unfortunately, this type of horse makes the old bridge and saddle superfluous, because you will probably not use the horse for a long time.
The cycle is full of different elements that can be found worldwide, and it is not challenging to fill in other parts. It is also faster than a horse, thanks to its constant speed and ability to climb.
The tours are, if possible, as the small motor jumpers. What’s more, the Master cycle makes enemies less frightened than horses, making it more suitable for combat.
He seems cool, too. It will take some time to complete the full DLC for this, but it is an incredible reward. I still think it’s weird about Zelda, but I still like it.
The DLC is not for everyone, but for most Breath of the Wild fans, it is worth it. If you’ve taken dozens of hours out of this game, DLC can give you a lot more.
